Complete Hell for Hindus in Jalaberia

Muslim radicals, police nexus hell-bent to crush Hindus forever

Bengal, in particular Hindus inhabiting it, have indeed got a “Poriborton” but not the coveted change as owing to the change of guard in the state Hindus have become the one and only casualty and with each day it passes, their position is getting perilous. Not the Hindus here are being snubbed only but their views and even legitimate protests are both being abused and subdued whenever necessary also. The murder of Rohul Kuddus, Moulavi on February 18, 2013 while returning from Jaamtala Haat, P.S. Kultali by gunmen (unidentified yet), has led to a series of Hindu persecutions in the vicinity and the silence of police and administration; their bids to smash Hindus also have added fuel to the fire.

Jalaberia, located under the jurisdiction of P.S. Kultali, District: 24 Paraganas (South) has been the worst affected area. Hindus here are bearing the brunt of joint attacks of Muslim radicals and administration.

The Islamic fury against Hindus, following the murder, was witnessed first on February 19, 2013 at 10 am when 60 Hindu women from Jalaberia (in 6 automatic vans) were going to Narugopal temple at Tulsighata to fulfill a solemn promise made to the Holy Deity there earlier. But they were prevented at Kaltala by Muslim youths; radicals, instead of letting those innocent women go, attacked the six vehicles, sexually harassed Hindu women and even tried to kidnap a Hindu youth (age 25) accompanying women in the journey. However, persistent requests of Hindu women saved him and they returned to Jalaberia without more ado, let alone performing Puja.

On February 20, next day, in the morning, 16 Hindus, laborers in brick-fields, were abducted by Islamists in the same area of Kaltala to teach Hindus another lesson. Hindus, furious as a result, blocked the main road in Jalaberia. Even if it was a protest against the audacity of Muslims and incompetence of police to contain this cancer on the body of democracy, the protest was a peaceful civil obedience virtually. Two Muslims were also taken as hostage.

Police, meanwhile, geared up to recover 2 Muslims and started pressurizing Hindus who remained resolute in their demand – 2 Muslims would be freed in return for the release of 16 Hindus at Kaltala only. Without heeding their demand, a large contingent of RAF along with C.I. of P.S. Joynagar recovered 2 Muslims leading to a complete disorder and a violent conflict between Hindus and police. Police force was beaten hollow and to avoid more dangers, it was perceived to fire five rounds of tear gas.

Later, with a desire to even the score, police entered each and every Hindu household; lathi charged Hindus there and also to retain a reign of terror, closed the local market of Hindus forcibly for five days at a stretch.

The market has been opened already but only after local Hindu Samhati activists along with lawyer interfered and held a meeting with SDPO and O.C. of P.S. Kultali.

Nevertheless, the wrath of police and administration is yet to end; to teach Hindus in Jalaberia and its neighborhood a lesson, they have brought suit against 37 Hindus including Tapan Ghosh, president – Hindu Samhati, under sections 147/148/149/332/333/353/427/152/153/109/186/507/186/307 I.P.C. & 4 E.S. Act and 3 & 4 P.D.P.P. Act (Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984).

16 Hindu laborers were released by Muslim radicals, complacent with the police action, on February 21.

Where from Now?

More Naliakhali s will follow soon if Hindus remain effete

The gruesome episode or the anti-Hindu pogrom in Naliakhali and its vicinity may come as a rude shock to many but not Hindus, Bengali Hindus in particular, who have been victims of Islamic radicalism down the centuries. Even if there have been Hindu defences against these insensate bigots at times, those have either been sporadic or too minimal to contain the beast enabling Muslim radicals to flaunt their history of seven centuries at a stretch.

What is this history of seven centuries? It’s Islamic subjugation of the Indian subcontinent or the Dark Age that witnessed an end to a period of enlightenment, rational thinking and prevalence of humanity or the supremacy of Vedic culture. What followed then is too known to people and a few anecdotes of those horrors are still available.

However, the saga of Islamic warfare in the realm of Bengal continues and with greater impetus than the last decade even. Albeit surreptitious Islamic efforts to subdue Hindus in the state had always been – despite the partition in 1947 – the onslaught on Hindus in Deganga on September, 2010 helped a few Hindus to rise from slumber or the vain expectation that the state government or the central force of India, a Hindu-majority country yet, would be their only deliverer during hours of need. Hindus were crushed inhumanely there while the administration and police preferred to steer clear of the entire development fearing Muslim radicals altogether. And Hindus died down owing to their sole dependence on the same police and administration.

The situation in Naliakhali is no different at the moment; even if Hindu Samhati, defying all hindrances proffered by the same police and administration, has conducted relief measures there for Hindus, there is no end to the crisis.

What is more, Hindu basing is spreading far and wide – adjoining areas of Joynagar, Kultali and others are also witnessing similar developments. At Kholakhali (P.S. Joynagar) Hindus are being selected and tortured by police outright. While molestations and ravishments of Hindu women have reached the zenith in these areas, police, with bigger enforcement from other police stations, armed with tear gas and grenade, are targeting Hindu mob protesting. By now, police has arrested 21 Hindus and slapped criminal case on 13 more Hindus (total 34) of Jalaberia, with a single intention to scare the Hindus of Jalaberia and break their morale.

It must be taken into consideration, on May 14, 2012 the two neighboring Hindu-dominated villages of Taranagar and Rupnagar in the same area became victims of Islamic assaults and witnessed extensive devastation of Hindu properties with rape of Hindu women. Not a year has passed yet and more Islamic assaults on Hindus are coming to the fore. Relief measures, like this time, were carried out then.

Would Hindus in Bengal go on having such relief measures only? This is the most imperative issue for Bengali Hindus in the state that needs contemplation. Myriad instances are readily available to prove how the Hindu-dominated areas in Bengal are turning into Hindu-minority areas increasingly and how Hindus are being targeted, injured and killed as part of a definite design.

The danger is not within the rural areas; it is everywhere and in every capacity. Only a few days back, a few Islamist organizations including West Bengal Sunnat –Al-Jamaat, Ulma Parisad and 7 other organizations joined  a rally organized by ‘All Bengal Minorities Youth Federation’ at Hazi Mohsin Square in Kolkata in protest against ongoing events at Shahbag in Dhaka. Terming the entire event in Dhaka as anti-Islam, the gathering virtually threatened Bangladesh government that there will be grave reactions unless Shahbag campaign is withdrawn.

A new addition to the civic life in Bengal and it seems that this will get permanent soon.

Meanwhile, the affected Hindu families (despite suffering an average loss of Rs 1,50,000) in the realm of Naliakhali, Gopalpur,  Goladogra, Herobhanga have got Rs 10,000/= per family as compensation while the slain Muslim cleric’s family has got Rs. 3,00,000. Hindus are left high and dry, hence. None knows what to do and what not to do.

Will Hindus in Bengal go on accepting incidents like Nalikhali and remain inept?

It’s anti-Hindu pogrom in Naliakhali – no mere oppression

What has taken place in Naliakhali and 3 other villages yesterday (19 Feb) is virtually an anti-Hindu pogrom which fails to match the chronicle of Hindu persecution even. Hindu Samhati’s investigations at the helpless village on February 20, 2013 reveal that the entire event was not the result of any spontaneous onslaught by enraged Muslim radicals (following the murder of Moulavi Rohul Kuddus) but of a specific project contrived by brains hell-bent to exterminate Hindus racially in the very area.

Some other disturbing and weird facts, as a result of investigations and talks with helpless Hindu villagers at Nailakhali, have come to the fore. It has been learnt, albeit violent Hindu persecution started at the wee hours on February 19 its extent was somewhat low till 8 am.

At morning 8 am Muslim school teachers of Goladohra Naliakhali Harinarayani Vidyapith (local school) were witnessed to conduct a meeting where Hindus were proclaimed as solely responsible for the murder of aforementioned Moulavi. While Abdul Salam Mollah, Headmaster of school, presided over the gathering, it was joined by a few other teachers of the school including Moulavi Shamsul Alam, Giyasuddin Ghazi, Khatip Mollah and Rezaul Mollah. Teachers were unanimous regarding one issue – to avenge the death of Rohul Kuddus and teach Hindus in the area a brutal lesson thus.

The meeting proved to be highly successful to stimulate the huge gathering of Islamists (almost 30,000) there leading to the commencement of wild Islamic oppressions on Hindus.

According to local Hindu villagers, Abdul Salam Mollah, aforesaid Headmaster, is known for his anti-Hindu views for long. Not only he is found to raise “Pakistan Zindabad, India Murdabad” slogans in the school at times, but his anti-Hindu views trouble Hindu students also highly. It has been heard, his ardent opposition to Devi Saraswati Puja in his earlier school led to his transfer to Naliakhali High School. His views then were censured severely by guardians there.

Thousands of Hindu victims in Naliakhali have also asserted that police was found to be surprisingly indifferent to the entire episode. Even if Hindus pleaded with them to stop the rampaging Muslim radicals, they remained tightlipped; they retained the same posture when the same Muslims were found to take petrol (which was used for burning Hindu houses altogether) from police’s vehicles.

Why did the police and administration deal with the case so lightly? Why was the body of the slain Moulavi not removed from the area by police and left to stimulate Muslims only? These questions are going around throughout the area at the moment.

Nevertheless, the homeless Hindus are yet to find the answers and they have no other option except to feel sorrow. No less than 200 Hindu houses have been fully looted, burnt down and turned into dust; there has been no governmental assistance or declaration of compensation (even if present Bengal government was amazingly fast to declare Rs. 2 lakh as compensation for every Muslim who died in the hooch tragedy) yet. And there is no expectation of any such to Hindus in Naliakhali. In absence of the same, Hindus, unaffected yet in the neighborhood, are gearing up to arrange relief measures for Hindu victims.

Hindu Persecution in Canning at an All-Time High

Police fails to contain Islamic fanaticism

The whole of Canning, at the moment, is under fire – the entire area is witnessing the worst Hindu persecution in recent times and as per fresh reports that are coming in, the saga of thrashing Hindus is extending far and wide, engulfing the adjoining areas of Joynagar, Kultali, Basanti and Sandeshkhali as well.

It has come to knowledge, two Moulavis, Rohul Kuddus - resident of Ghutiyari Shariff and Abdul Wahab – resident of village: Moujpur, P.S. Joynagar – were returning from Jaamtala Haat, P.S. Kultali after attending an Islamic congregation there on February 18, 2013. While both were coming back late at night, they were attacked by unidentified culprits midway – Rohul Kuddus was murdered and Abdul Wahab was left injured. And to avenge the same, Muslims started attacking Hindus in the wee hours of today itself in and around the area of Herobhanga. No less than 25,000 Muslim radicals virtually pounced down on Hindus in the wildest manner.

The nearest village of Naliakhali (from the site of murder) has been the worst victim thus far – all houses belonging to Hindus there have been burnt down while more than 50 Hindus have been left wounded severely. No stone to molest Hindu women was left unturned – 5 Hindu women, in accordance with latest reports, including Lakshmi Naskar (age 38) have been molested at Kholakhali, P.S. Joynagar but bordering P.S. Kultali at the same instant. Lots of Hindu women have been found to flee in fear.

Only at the Kholakhali Baazar (P.S. Joynagar), medicine shop of Sachin Sardar and one saloon of another Hindu individual were attacked and despoiled and all these happened before the police stationed there – effete enough to protect Hindus in any case.

Even if Hindus managed to take some measures in self-defence only in few areas, the wild fire of Islamic onslaught is being witnessed in the vicinity – areas of Notunhati in Joynagar and Simultala in Basanti being the greatest victims. Road blockades by Islamists are going on in full might at several areas including Natunhat, Priyor More (P.S. Joynagar), Bhangankhali (P.S. Basanti), Boyarmari (P.S. Sandeshkhali). The wild attacks have extended to P.S. Sandeshkhali, District: 24 Paraganas (North) by now.

Kolkata - Basanti Road has been blocked at Boyarmari. Sanjay Singh, resident of Boyarmari and also CRPF jawan, posted at P.S. Goaltor, District: Medinipur has been beaten up at Boyarmari for refusing to get off from his cycle.

Police and administration have deputed a huge contingent of armed policemen, issued a red alert but it is getting more than impossible for them to contain the widespread violence. Sub-inspector of P.S. Canning, Anup Samaddar, has been admitted to Canning Hospital in a critically injured situation. Two police officers have been severely injured while two police vehicles have been burnt down.

Last but not least, a large number of motor vehicles carrying thousands of Muslims from Garden Reach, Metiaburuj, Tilajla, Park Circus areas in Kolkata have been seen to head towards Joynagar.

Police is running to and fro haplessly.

Some unscrupulous people are rumoring that Hindu Samhati is behind the ghastly murder whereas Hindu Samhati is in darkness of the entire incident still.  The whole situation is totally out of control of administration and Hindus in the affected areas are scared that anything may happen to them tonight.

‘Struggle is the Only Hope for Hindus’

Hindu Samhati’s 5 th Anniversary affirms with conviction

Hindu Samhati’s 5 th anniversary at Wellington Square on February 14, 2013, dashing the hopes of Muslim-appeasing state administration and aeonian foes of Dharma, has got a historic success making its antagonists grasp that a Hindu force to be reckoned with has appeared in Bengal at long last.

The state administration, albeit benevolent enough to permit Muslim radicals to machinate conventions or stage protests whenever necessary, was hell-bent to foil this anniversary and hence, it left no stone unturned to dampen the spirit – as a result Hindu Samhati had to move to the corridors of judiciary and obtained the coveted permission to hold meeting from Hon’ble High Court, Kolkata. Little did the Bengal administration know that their entire approach stimulated Hindu Samhati only and the rest is history by now – virtually an epic struggle that will be written in golden words in history.

Hindu Samhati’s 5 th anniversary, hence, was no mere festival where people do partake to observe it with splendor but the perfect emblem of a Yajna or Vedic Sacrifice where Hindus do take oath to wage struggles.

Apart from a wave of Hindus, dignitaries who graced the event included Dr. Richard Benkin from USA; Dr. Gautam Sen from London; Dr. Rudranath Talukdar from USA; Sri Jayesh Patel from UK; Dr. Saradindu Mukherjee, Delhi University; Sailendra Jain, Delhi; Arvind Mishra, Delhi; Swami Tejasanandaji. The meeting was presided by Tapan Ghosh – president, Hindu Samhati.

While an assortment of speakers including Dr. Gautam Sen, Dr. Rudranath Talukdar and Dr. Saradindu Mukherjee were witnessed to crack down on different aspects of Islamic fundamentalism and how it endeavors to harm Hindus in different capacity for eternity, Sailendra Jain and Arvind Mishra focused on the need to form a stubborn cohesion among Hindus on a national scale.

Dr. Richard Benkin’s speech concentrated on the hapless situation of Hindus in modern day Bangladesh and how Hindus in Indian Bengal, a majority community thus far, may suffer the same if they fail to thwart mounting (precarious) tentacles of Islamic fundamentalism. Through myriad instances put forward by him it was comprehended how Hindus are getting diminished in the Bangladeshi map more and more. Taking cue from the research of Dr. Sachi Dastidar of the State University of New York Dr. Benkin  pointed out that more than 5 crores of Hindus are missing from contemporary Bangladesh. He also lamented that all internationally acclaimed institutions including Amnesty International and other organizations of United Nations are paying just a lip service to Hindus in Bangladesh and to stop these, as per him, it is urgent for Hindus to strike back with prowess and similar vigor.

Tapan Ghosh, president – Hindu Samhati, paying glaring tributes to Mr. Tapas Chowdhury, police officer who was gunned down by Muslim ruffians in broad daylight in Garden Reach in Kolkata of late, deplored that Hindus can’t depend on a state administration whose police officer can be killed and police fears to take strong measures against the perpetrators.

He, recalling the brutal death of Vinod Mehta, then DC- Port Division, in 1984, stated even if the change of guard takes place fate of Hindu police officers fighting the Muslim miscreants remains same. He wondered how can then such an effete police force dare to take on Hindus. Perhaps complacency, serenity of Hindus remain the greatest hindrance before them – unless they learn to make a mess of the social order and hurl bombs like Islamists on the police, they will not be honored.

Tapan Ghosh, pointing at pictures of Guru Govind Singh and Shivaji, adorning the dais, stated that Hindus would have to sacrifice themselves to save Hindu identity. Such a vigorous mindset can reinstitute dignity of Dharma again only; struggle remains the only option before Hindus to sustain and expand.

Hindu Mega Rally In Kolkata --- Invitation To Make It A Grand Success

Celebrating The Fifth Anniversary of The Founding of Hindu Samhati

After overcoming multiple hardships that came in their way, the tireless activists of HINDU SAMHATI are finally ready to celebrate HINDU SAMHATI's fifth foundation day, on February 14, 2013.

The Government of West Bengal tried its level best to prevent us from organising any public event in the heart of Kolkata. However, thanks to assistance from the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court, just as in 2012, this year also we have plans to arrange a mammoth gathering.

But what provokes our curiosity is - Why are we being hindered?

Is Mamata Banerjee paranoid of organisations like ours? Probably not. To keep her treasured ' Muslim vote bank' intact, she has been continuously bowing down to the completely undemocratic demands of the Muslim  fundamentalists. And the irony is that, their fascist and undemocratic activities are carried out in West Bengal and India in the name of “Secularism”. In Bengal with the hard earned money of the public, special grants are given to the Imams and Muazzines. All this, in the name of " Secularism ".

When we raise our voice against such appeasement, we are labeled as 'communal' or ' ‘Hindu fundamentalists’ '.

Lately, efforts at pleasing the minorities have crossed all limits. To secure its position, the previous LEFT FRONT government, headed by leaders like Budhadeb Bhattacharya and Biman Bose, very conveniently started reservations on the basis of religion, And since then, the likes of Haj House, Aliah University, Aligarh Muslim University have sprung up all over the place. Big stipend and bank loans for minority students have been sanctioned, without guarantees. It seems as though pleasing the Muslims is the sole aim of the Government.

Muslim fundamentalists organisations have been holding numerous meetings where The Chief Minister is being openly rebuked. But when it comes to a legal Hindu organisation, like Hindu Samhati, there is dirty politics involved in preventing the organisation. From holding public events. Naturally, this is adversely effecting the  neutrality of he administration. The tortured and tormented Hindus are being cornered, and a situation like that of Kashmir is slowly evolving.

A few decades ago, our country became a victim of Islamic fundamentalism, leading to its Partition. That led to millions of dead and displaced . Even after having such an experience, the political parties are still following the policy of appeasement. After losing all faith on the Government, administration and the rule of law, Hindus of rural Bengal are turning to apolitical organisations like HINDU SAMHATI. And simply for this reason, in a short span of just 5 years HINDU SAMHATI,  has shone as a ray of hope for many. We will carry on, despite the obstacles that come in our way. Bengali Hindus will not bow down to Islamic dominance this time. They will strive to reclaim their dignity and honor.

Hindu Girl, Family Assaulted Brutally in Barasat

Muslim radicals go wild, Hindus in complete terror

Barasat is back in news once more and certainly for wrong reasons; the entire area has turned into a danger zone for Hindu women virtually and due to the perennial reluctance of local administration, Muslim hooligans and their accomplices are reigning there supremely. The situation is such that Hindu women can be abducted, molested and even raped at any moment.

While a Hindu girl student was assaulted brutally on February 1, 2013, her family making desperate efforts to save her from Islamists was also thrashed severely.

Hindu Girl Student Gang Raped in Nimpith

The saga of rape in the realm of Bengal refuses to end; this day or the other one witnesses any such gruesome incident in any part of the state. And the rape of a 15-year-old Hindu girl, inhabiting village: Nimpith Vidyasagar Mor, Futigoda area, P.S. Joynagar, District: 24 Paraganas (South) by criminals on February 5, 2013 adds a new page to the dreadful chronicle.

The 15-year-old Hindu girl happens to be student of Class IX at Nimpith Sarada Vidyamandir and has been a good student always. On the fateful day (February 5, 2013), at 6.45 pm, Namita Halder (name changed), daughter of a poor Hindu cycle van puller, was going to her relatives’ house, living in Nalua village – P.S. Mathurapur, to inform them of her grandmother’s illness. Well, she was not alone; Biswajit Das (age 18), son of Sri Dibakar Das, neighbour of the girl, was escorting her.

Once Biswajit and Namita passed Nimpith police camp and were walking to the small bridge, 4 youths appeared before them suddenly. Without wasting a moment, two of them pounced on Biswajit while the other two dragged Namita to a nearby field forcefully. Biswajit was thrashed mercilessly and Namita was gang raped.

Biswajit, later, phoned Namita’s family members who rushed to the spot and recovered them.

Namita is in a terrible shock yet. Her family members are simply clueless of the entire development.

About 50 Hindu Samhati activists are accompanying the hapless girl and her father to the police station.  The FIR has been lodged and the case no. is 105/2013 of Joynagar PS.

Milad un-Nabi observed in Hooghly forcefully

Islamic bid to outshine, insult Hindus succeed

Once a Hindu festival is performed at any institution in contemporary Bengal it must be countered with doing a Muslim festival there – however insignificant it is – and all measures ranging from pressurizing to intimidating concerned authority with dire consequences, if there is any failure to perform, reign highly. Akuni Biji Beharilal Institution, adjoining Gaopalpur Bazar, close to Moshat in District: Hooghly, remains witness to such a horrendous development.

Pakistan’s Long Forgotten Hindu Temples and Gurdwaras

In Rawalpindi, the temple located at Government Asghar Mall College is used as a scrap yard. A Shiva temple at Gunjmandi now houses storerooms or shops. There are a few more abandoned temples scattered around College Road, Bohar Bazaar, Purana Qilla, Bagh Sardaraan and then some on the outskirts of Rawalpindi which are about to collapse, or so it seems!

In the old area of Lunda Bazaar, there used to be three temples, a Gurdwara, a Khalsa School and many Havelis belonging to the Hindus and Sikhs of the time. Of the three temples, two have survived. The third, of goddess Kali in the main bazaar, no longer exists. It has been converted into living quarters and extensions have been made, thus changing the original structure entirely.

Didi’s Muslim Appeasement Forces Bengal to Financial Doomsday Fast

Rhetoric of Mamata Didi in accusing the central government of snubbing Bengal intentionally leading to an empty treasury or on how a cash-strapped government can cater people’s basic needs has become intolerable to a multitude of Bengal’s population, according to sources. They have been found to wonder the government’s intentions even!

What is more, they have started to indict that the Chief Minister is just buying time only before the final collapse while her sycophants are busy in garnering wealth in every capacity – greatest example being the abysmal decline in law and order situation of the state. There are other charges as well – while lots feel that Didi is completely inept to administer, a greater number of people consider her as mere deceiver – even if the state government remains cash-strapped and the premier wonders where from she can manage 7% more to the existing Dearness Allowance to its employees (announced already), there has been no dearth of bountiful expenses to better Muslims – their Imams and Muazzins in particular.

Being a journalist, it has always been my prime concern to delve into any subject painstakingly. So when people are charging the Bengal premier of leading the state to a (apparent) religious bifurcation with financial destruciton, the issue must also be examined.

A glance at the available records reveals that the honorariums rendered to Imams and Muazzins have cost the state dearly.

According to statistics available from the Board of WAKFS Bengal, during the period from April 14, 2012 and December 30, 2012, Rs. 50 crore 51 lakh 44 thousand have been rendered to 23, 636 Imams of 19 districts. 10, 340 Muazzins of all these (19) districts have received Rs. 11 crore 36 lakh 36 thousand 160.

The expenses regarding honorariums to Imams and Muazzins, as found from government records, are not minimal in any way but people consider that there is no necessity of the same. Since, mosque in any nook remains duty-bound to look after welfare of its employees through its own funds collected through Zakat1 there is no need of any other state-funded honorarium.

How can this act of Didi be defined then? The majority of people in Bengal (including her own party’s members) considers said approaches as nothing except a blatant appeasement to Muslims ruining the state (when it is so stone-broke) altogether. They are also found to assert had the same money been used for developmental jobs, Bengal would have been better than what it is today.

But………..Muslim appeasement is call of the day and if the state fails miserably for doing the same, none is there to care.

Hail nationalism!

Muslim Cleric Dictates Bengal Chief Minister to Block Salman Rushdie’s Visit to Kolkata

Are we in a civilized state?

It’s official now – Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, was wholly instrumental to block the visit of Salman Rushdie, internationally acclaimed author, to Kolkata and she acted thus on the dictation rather than advice of an Islamic cleric, Maulana Barkati, Imam of the Tipu Sultan Mosque. And this has been claimed by none except the Imam himself while there has not been any approach from the Bengal government or CM’s office yet to nullify it.

On the word of Imam, "I spoke to Mamata Banerjee when she was in Darjeeling. Just one day before Salman was to come ...He was supposed to come in the morning. I got to know the night before. She said don't worry, I won't let him come. You don't worry. Ours is a secular state. It will remain secular. Mamata said he was a shaitan."

This statement has been rocking the mainstream media and hence, it can’t be termed as a mere fabrication of Hindu activists, hounded by the same government time and again.

The truth behind the entire development has been strengthened by Sultan Ahmed, Trinamool MP, who without any qualms stated, "If the West Bengal government stopped him from coming, then I congratulate the government, I congratulate Mamata Banerjee." Idris Ali, All India Minority Forum president and Trinamool Congress leader who played a key role in expelling Taslima Nasreen from Kolkata in 2007, said, “the chief minister wants communal harmony in the state. I congratulate her, the police and the administration for taking proper decisions in maintaining peace”.

Perhaps the entire development makes a staunch secularist (who believes at least that secularism denotes a doctrine that rejects religion and religious considerations and a truly secular state has no business with any religion in particular) ashamed and also believe that everything in contemporary Bengal is moving towards a wrong direction and is ruining its own political fabric steadily.

The unfortunate incident brings forth another reality too – how a Chief Minister can stoop for own political benefits – to go for Muslim appeasement blatantly disregarding constitutional duties.

Even if Salman Rushdie has lashed out the Bengal government, it will definitely fail to make Ms. Mamata Banerjee, Bengal CM, realize her own gigantic blunders. She is in the chair for bettering Muslims only while others in the state, let alone Hindus, will have to remain high and dry.

We are in a weird democracy where democracy is guaranteed to all constitutionally but the political power (to implement it perfectly) rests with rouges, rascals, freebooters and certainly shameless appeasers to Muslim radicals.

Hindu Samhati regularly monitors and reports violations against Hindus in West Bengal. We also work with both governmental and NGO agencies for proper education on protection and ensure remedies to the Hindu populace as per prevailing law of the land.
